Signing in & security

Signing in is how BridgeApp knows it’s really you. This page covers the ways you can sign in, how it works on each device, and a few easy habits that keep your account safe. None of it is complicated, and most of it just works.

The everyday way to sign in is with your email and password. BridgeApp also supports OAuth / OIDC connections — sign-in standards that let you link accounts like GitHub or GitLab, which is especially handy when you’re connecting those services to your work.

You use the same account everywhere; only the sign-in step differs slightly.

WhereHow you sign in
WebSign in right in your browser — nothing to install.
Desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux)The app opens your browser to authenticate, then hands you back to the app through a secure deep link.
Mobile (iOS, Android)Sign in directly in the app.

Once you’re in, switching between the workspaces you belong to doesn’t require signing in again — see Your profile & account.

Larger organizations often want everyone to sign in through their own identity provider — that’s single sign-on (SSO), typically over OIDC. This lets your IT team centrally control access and offboarding.

A few small habits protect you and your team:

  • Use a strong, unique password for your BridgeApp account, ideally from a password manager.
  • Sign out on shared devices, and prefer your own trusted machines for sensitive work.
  • Be wary of sign-in links you didn’t request. When in doubt, navigate to BridgeApp yourself rather than clicking through.
  • For software and integrations, use a service account and its token — never share your personal login with a script.
