Invite your team
BridgeApp comes alive when your team is in it. Inviting people takes a moment, and you can give each person the right level of access from the very first click. There are two kinds of people you can bring in: members of your workspace, and guests invited to a single conversation.
Inviting members
Section titled “Inviting members”Members are the people who belong to your workspace and work in it every day.
- Open your workspace’s member settings (under Settings → Users).
- Choose Invite people.
- Enter the email addresses of the people you want to add.
- Pick the role each person should have — this decides what they’re allowed to do.
- Send the invitations.
Each invitee receives an invite they can accept to join your workspace. Once they’re in, they appear in your members list with the role you chose.
Choosing a role at invite time
Section titled “Choosing a role at invite time”Roles are named bundles of permissions — for example, who can invite others, manage roles, or change billing. BridgeApp includes built-in roles like Admin and User, and admins can create custom roles tailored to how your team works. Setting the role during the invite means people land with exactly the access they need, no follow-up required.
Inviting external guests
Section titled “Inviting external guests”Sometimes you want to include someone outside your team — a client, a contractor, a partner — in a single conversation, without giving them the run of your workspace. That’s what guests are for.
A guest is invited to a specific chat and is scoped to it. They can take part in that conversation, but they don’t get broad access to your workspace’s other chats, tasks, or data. It’s a clean way to collaborate across organizational lines while keeping everything else private.
See Invites & guests for the details of managing guest access.
What the invitee experiences
Section titled “What the invitee experiences”From the other side, joining is simple: the invited person opens their invitation, signs in or creates a BridgeApp account, and is dropped straight into your workspace with the role you gave them. If they were invited as a guest to a single chat, they go right to that conversation.
