Files & attachments

Files travel everywhere in BridgeApp. You can attach an image, a PDF, a document, or a video almost anywhere you’re working — in a message, inside a page, on a task, or in a database record. Wherever they land, files preview inline and download quickly, so your team can actually see what you shared without a round trip to another app.

Attaching a file

In most places, attaching is as simple as it sounds:

1. Click the attachment (paperclip) control, or drag and drop the file straight into the message, page, or record.
2. The file uploads and appears in place.
3. Share or save — others can preview or download it immediately.

Previews and downloads

• Inline previews — images, PDFs, and videos show right where they are, so you don’t have to download just to look.
• One-click download — grab the original file whenever you need it.
• Fast loading — BridgeApp automatically creates optimized, resized versions of media behind the scenes, so previews load quickly even on a slower connection. You always keep the original.

Files in calls

Guests who join a single call can share and download files too — but only within that call. It’s a deliberate boundary: a call guest sees the call’s files, not your wider workspace.

Tips

Tip

• Drag-and-drop is usually the quickest way to attach — try dropping a file directly onto a message box or page.
• Attach files where the work is. A spec belongs on its page or task, not buried in a chat scroll, so it’s there when someone needs it later.
• Use search to find a file again by the words around it.
