Invites & guests
There are two ways people join your work in BridgeApp: as members, who become part of your workspace, and as guests, who get access to just one conversation or call. This page explains both, so you can invite the right way for the situation.
Inviting teammates
Section titled “Inviting teammates”To add someone to your workspace, open the members area and choose Invite people. You’ll pick the role they should have when they arrive — usually User — and send the invite. They receive an invitation, accept it, and land in your workspace ready to collaborate.
For a friendly first-time walkthrough, see Invite your team.
What guests are
Section titled “What guests are”A guest is someone from outside your workspace who you’ve invited into a specific, bounded place — not the whole workspace. Guests are perfect for working with clients, partners, or contractors without exposing everything else your team is doing.
BridgeApp has two flavors of guest:
- Chat guests — external collaborators invited into specific workspace chats. They can take part in those conversations, but they can’t roam the rest of your workspace.
- Call guests — people who join a single voice or video call through a temporary session. Their access is scoped to that one call: they can see the call’s messages and share files within it, but they can’t reach your chat history or other calls.
The limits guests have
Section titled “The limits guests have”Guests are intentionally fenced in, and that’s the feature. A guest sees only what you’ve shared with them. A call guest, for instance, gets a reduced view — the call thread only — and their session ends with the call. This keeps cross-company collaboration easy and safe.
