Reactions & emoji
A reaction is a little emoji you stick on a message — a 👍, a ❤️, a 🎉. It’s the quickest way to respond when a full reply would just be noise. “Got it,” “nice work,” “I agree,” “ha” — all of it, in one tap.
Add a reaction
Section titled “Add a reaction”- Hover over a message and click the emoji button.
- Pick an emoji from the picker.
- It appears under the message, right where everyone can see it.
A message can collect as many different reactions as people care to add, and you can see at a glance who reacted with what.
System emoji and custom emoji
Section titled “System emoji and custom emoji”There are two kinds of emoji you can react with:
- System emoji — the standard, universal set (😀 👍 ❤️ 🎉 and the rest). Available everywhere, to everyone.
- Custom emoji — emoji your workspace has added. These are the inside jokes, team mascots, and project logos that make a workspace feel like yours.
