Search

Search is the fastest way to find anything in BridgeApp. One search box looks across your whole workspace at once — messages, tasks, documents, database records, and comments — and brings back what matches, grouped by where it lives. No more remembering which tool you put something in.

You’ll find search in the top of the app, reachable from anywhere in your workspace.

What search looks through

A single query searches across all of these at once:

  • Messages in your channels and direct messages
  • Tasks — titles and descriptions
  • Documents / pages — titles and content
  • Database records
  • Comments

Results come back grouped by type, so you can jump straight to the kind of thing you’re after — a person’s message, a task, or the doc that mentioned a decision.

Your recent searches are kept handy, so repeating a lookup you do often takes a single click.

BridgeApp offers two ways to find things, and they work together in the same box.

Section titled “Keyword search”

The everyday default, available to everyone: type words, and BridgeApp finds the items that contain them. Fast and predictable — great when you remember roughly what something was called.

Section titled “AI-powered search”

Available on the Pro plan and powered by credits, AI search understands meaning, not just exact words. Search for “vacation policy” and it can surface the page titled “Time off rules” even though the words don’t match. It’s especially useful when you remember the idea but not the wording.
