Your profile & account

Your profile and account settings are the parts of BridgeApp that are about you, not your team. This is where you set how you appear to others, hop between workspaces, and tune which notifications reach you. It’s worth a couple of minutes early on — a clear name and avatar make every chat and task easier for teammates to follow.

It helps to keep two ideas separate:

  • Personal account settings travel with you — your name, your avatar, your notification preferences. They’re the same no matter which workspace you’re looking at.
  • Workspace settings belong to a workspace — its members, roles, and billing. Those are covered across the rest of Administration.

When something feels like “this is about me,” it’s here. When it feels like “this is about our team’s space,” it’s in workspace settings.

Set a clear display name and a recognizable avatar. These are what teammates see next to your messages, on tasks you’re assigned, and in call participant lists. A real photo or a consistent icon goes a long way toward making conversations feel human.

You can belong to more than one workspace — perhaps your company, a client’s, and a side project. BridgeApp keeps them completely separate, and you switch between them with the workspace switcher. Each one has its own members, data, and billing; nothing leaks from one to another.

You decide how much BridgeApp taps you on the shoulder. Personal notification preferences let you tune what reaches you and how — and you can fine-tune individual chats (for example, muting a busy channel) as you go. The full picture, including push and email, is in Notifications.
